Antenatal and Postnatal Care

Antenatal care is by self-referral to maternity matters.  If you think you are pregnant click the link below and complete the pregnancy self-referral form.

Postnatal checks are done 6 weeks after the birth of your baby and are with a GP at the surgery.

Blood Tests

There is a phlebotomy service within the practice on Monday, Thursdays and Fridays. Appointments are to be made through reception.

Carers

If you are a carer and would like advice/support please ask to speak to our carers lead. You can do this by leaving a message at reception and they will contact you as soon as they are available. 

Family Planning

The Practice offers a full contraceptive and family planning service. Please make an appointment to see one Doctors. You can also get contraception and sexual health apointments via the Public Heatlh service by ringing 0300 303 1948.

ECG

If you are invited for an ECG with the practice nurse, it is important that you read the ECG information sheet

Cervical Smears

Cervical smears are done routinely for all women aged 25 - 64 and patients will be sent a reminder when their next one is due. Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse

Diabetic Management

We like to see our diabetic patients at least every twelve months, sometimes more frequently. You will receive an invitation when your appointment is due either by text message or letter.

Asthma Management

Our practice nurses normally see asthmatic patients at least once a year. You will  be sent a reminder when your review is due; however if you wish to be seen before then please contact reception to make an appointment.

Chronic Disease Management

Patients with a chronic disease, e.g. hypertension, stroke, heart disease etc. will be recalled annually for a health review.

Child Immunisations

We will contact you when your child’s immunisations are due. If you are unable to keep this appointment, please let reception know so that an alternative appointment can be arranged.  For more information and what to do when attending immunisation appointment...Click Here

Flu Vaccination Clinics

Flu vaccination clinics are held in the autumn for our over 65's and “at risk” patients.

These clinics will be advertised and invites sent once available.

 

NHS Health Checks

These are offered to 40-74 year olds with no prior long-term health conditions. They are with our Healthcare Assistant and give you the opportunity to have a full health check including cholesterol test and to discuss any health-related matters such as smoking, diet, exercise etc.

Tetanus Immunisations

These are available with the practice nurse if needed.

First Response Physio

We have an in-house physiotherapist who we can book telephone and face-to face appointments with.  This will generally be initial consultation only.
